dc.description.abstract | High power density and high energy density lithium ion batteries have become an important feature for electric vehicles. Combination of high voltage and high capacity cathode materials play a major role to determine the energy density of lithium ion battery technology. High capacity Layered LiCuxCo1 xO2, LiNixCoyMn1 x yO2 and olivine LiCoxMn1 xPO4 cathode materials have been synthesized by microwave and sol gel methods respectively. The structure and electrochemical properties of synthesized cathode materials are characterized through various techniques. The synthesized materials deliver the discharge capacity of more than 160 mAhg 1 and performs well at high voltage regions (gt4.6 V). | en_US |
