Abstract: OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY: newlineThe probable objectives to be taken for conducting research may be as under: newline(1) The study present the state responsibility for curbing terrorism. newline(2) The present study shall try to check the violation of human rights and right to live how and up to what extent by the Authorities that they use means to curb the terrorism. newline (3) The aim of the research is to analyze and evaluate whether laws against terrorism are effectively implementing or not. newline(4) The ultimate aim of the present study to find out the effective measures fighting and curbing against terrorism. newlineChapter-II deals with a brief overview as well as the current trends noted in terms of global terrorism. Meaning, definition, nature, terrorism and its catagories, difference between Terrorist act Criminal act, Terrorist Ideology and Motivation, Causes of terrorism, modus operandi of terrorist, and Characteristics of terrorism, Insurgency, Militancy and Extremism. In this chapter researcher has discussed an over view on terrorism by which it become easy to understand that what terrorism is. newlineChapter-III of the thesis talk about the global initiatives for counter terrorism serve as examples of best-case scenarios that filter into national strategies to counter terrorism. Counter terrorism has been approached in a militaristic format and at times considering a policing approach. Both approaches are hailed to be custodians to the UN Counter Terrorism Strategy. Unequivocal attention also has to be paid to the respect for human rights. This section will provide an overview of multilateral entities and their current approaches to counter terrorism. Entities that will be included are the United Nations (UN), African Union (AU), the European Union (EU) and the International Police (INTERPOL), NATO(North-Atlantic Treaty),Group of Eight(G8),ICRC (International committee of the Red Cross), Amnesty International.
