Abstract: | Abstract newlineThe present study is entitled as Psychological profiles of university athletes of kerala state The following are the hypothesis set for the present investigationParticipation in sporting events are related to bodily balance and psychological stability. The impact of sport and exercise on mental health is longstanding issue. All the above a study inquiring how these personality profile variables, emotional intelligence, and intelligence are interrelated with a sport person s mental health would help to balance the outweighed performance oriented research tradition, to a certain extent. So the present investigation was an attempt to find out the psychological profiles of university sport persons in Kerala state. newlineThe population for the present investigation is 304 university level sport person in Kerala state. Different clusters were identified based on four major universities in Kerala state. From these clusters major sports hostels was randomly selected by lottery method and the data were collected from all these centers. newlineThe Statistical Analyses adopted for the presented investigation are as followers newlineCorrelation Analysis newlineMultiple Regression Analysis newlineMultivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) newline newlineSignificant relationships exist among psychological profiles Type A personality pattern, intelligence, intelligence, and mental health of sport persons. newlineSignificant relationships exist among psychological profiles Type A personality pattern, emotional intelligence, intelligence, and mental health of Type A sport person. newlineSignificant relationships exist among psychological profiles Type A personality pattern, emotional intelligence, intelligence, and mental health of Type-B sport person. newlineSignificant differences exist among the groups based on sport related variables such as levels of participation, experience, family sport status, punctuality, self-practice, and perceived self competence on psychological profiles Type-A personality pattern, emotional intelligence, intelligence |
