Intervention by Plants on Sleep Disorder

Abstract

Basic of Ayurveda is that each and every thing exists in the universe is composed of five basic elements which are solid, liquid, gas, energy and space. Human body is also composed of these five elements. Three dhatus of human body is also called tridosha meaning pillars of life. The balance between these three dhatu is very much important for healthy being. Imbalance between these tridosha cause diseases. Ayurvedic treatment is based on the principle of regaining the equilibrium between these tridoshas. Hypothesis of ayurvedic treatment is based on the fact that as body is made up of five elements (Pancha Bhutas) the treatment to maintain balance is done using the Ayurvedic medicine which is also made up of Panch Bhutas in form of Herbs, Lavanas, Rasas, Lohas, Vishas, and Animal parts etc. newline
