Abstract: | The aim of this study is not to discourage about the use of new technologies like mobile phone, wireless phone, Wi-Fi technology, work on computer etc. But we want to aware the public about the harmful effects of the radiation of these technologies so that they use some precautions. With the increase in use of cell phones, there are possible interactions of electromagnetic radiation hazard on human beings and their offspring. Mobile phone radiations are harmful for the people who are living near their towers. These effects may be different for different mobile phone frequencies. In this present thesis, it is proposed to find the harmful frequencies of mobile phone waves and health hazards in the range of mobile phone frequencies. The safe distance from the mobile phone towers have been determined, so that the mobile phone transmission towers may be installed at safe distances from the populated area. The electric field has been calculated around the transmission towers and mobile phone handsets. The penetrated electric field inside the tissues of human body and Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) which depends upon the density and conductivity has been determined. The calculated value of penetrated electric field and SAR inside human body tissues at different distances from the mobile phone towers compared with safe limits given by some International agencies such as International Commission of Non-ionization Radiation Protection (ICNRP), National Radiation Protection Board (NRPB) and World Health Organisation (WHO). The change in temperature inside the tissues for different frequencies of mobile phone waves at various depths, during exposure time duration for mobile phone communication has been determined. If the computed value of SAR inside these tissues is greater than the safe limit of guidelines it may be harmful for the health of tissues or cells. By these safety guidelines, we have determined the harmful frequencies of mobile phone handset and mobile phone tower radiation with safe distance from the towers and mobile phone. |
