Abstract: In the modern world, the development of science in many areas has been achieved through the growth of single crystals Non linear optical NLO materials are expected to play a major role in the newlinetechnology of photonics including optical information processing Amino acids with organic and inorganic complexes for potential NLO applications Organic crystals possess several attractive newlineproperties such as wide transparency high mechanical strength and thermal stability which make suitable for second harmonic generation and other NLO applications In the present research LAlanine doped LiNO3 and BaNO32 LCysteine Hydrochloride and newlineLCysteine doped LiNO3 and BaNO32 crystals were grown by slow evaporation method The starting materials were of highly purity Repeated crystallization has been performed so that bulk newlinecrystals free from defects can be grownThe grown crystals were subjected to various characterization techniques in order to assess the properties of the crystal UVVis analysis was used for the determination of Optical transmittance of the grown crystals Functional group of the crystals was confirmed by Fourier Infrared spectroscopy The structural detail of the crystals was studied by powder and single crystal xray diffraction method Mechanical properties of the solid materials were carried out using Vickers hardness method The thermal stability and melting point of the crystals analyzed by using Thermo Gravimetric analysis newlinemethod The dielectric measurement was carried out to know the dielectric response of the crystal with varying frequency Magnetic properties of the materials were carried out using Vibrating Sample newlineMagnetometer
