dc.description.abstract | The present Ph.D. dissertation entitled Coordinate changes in assimilatory newlinesulfate reduction and salt tolerance in mustard (Brassica juncea): Involvement of newlinephytohormones comprises seven chapters. newlineChapter 1 deals with the importance of the problem selected, and justifications newlinefor the present work undertaken were underlined. newlineChapter 2 is the review of literature. This chapter deals with the relevant newlineavailable literature on salt stress and its effect on physiological and biochemical newlineprocesses and molecular mechanisms that affect growth and development of various newlineplants. The chapter reviewed the various regulating processes in the alleviation of salt newlinestress.
