dc.description.abstractThe data shows that most of the pharmaceutical industries surveyed are at the beginning Stage of green supply chain activities, followed by the few large-scale pharmaceutical industries at the intermediate stage of implementation of green activities. It is found that only very few players are implementing green activities entirely along every activity and are at the advanced stage of green activities implementation. The stages of green management activities differ among organisations having ISO 14000 certification and not having ISO 14000 certification. There is also an association between the state of the green supply chain management process and the adoption of an environmental management system. The stages of green management activities differ among organisations having adopted EMS and not adopting EMS. There is an association between the state of the green supply chain management process and the size of an organisation. The stages of green management activities differ among the medium and large size of organisations.
