Abstract: | Aflatoxicosis represents one of the most serious diseases of poultry and the malady has been attributed to the contamination of oilseed cakes, corn and other grains with the fungus, Aspergillus flavus and A. parasiticus. newline The use of physical adsorbants seems to be effective in reducing the effects of aflatoxin. Since the available literature was scanty, on the use of physical adsorbant the present work was undertaken to study the efficacy of activated charcoal in counteracting the toxic effects of aflatoxin in broiler chicken. newline newline |
