dc.description.abstract | A field experiment was conducted during 2019-20 and 2020-21 at the CSKHPKV, newlineSAREC, Kangra on nutrient management in gobhi sarson - maize cropping system. Eleven newlinetreatments viz., T1-Control; T2-100% PK to both crops; T3-100% NP to both crops; T4-100% newlineNK to both crops; T5-100% NPK to both crops; T6-150% NPK to both crops; T7-100% NPK newline+ S at 35 kg ha-1 to gobhi sarson and 100% NPK to maize;T8-100% NPK +Zn at 25 kg newlineZnSO4 ha-1 to gobhi sarson and 100% NPK to maize; T9-100% NPK + B at 1kg ha-1 to gobhi newlinesarson and 100% NPK to maize; T10-100% NPK + FYM at 2.5 t ha-1 to gobhi sarson and newline100% NPK to maize; T11-SPNF (Gobhi sarson + Pea) followed by Maize + Soybean , were newlinetested in RBD. Gobhi sarson significantly responded to the higher dose (T6), FYM (T10), newlinesulphur (T7), zinc sulphate (T8) and boron (T9). Significant residual effect of FYM was also newlineobserved on maize. The system productivity (Gobhi sarson equivalent yield) was newlinesignificantly more in T6 (3356 kg ha-1) being at par with T10 (3220 kg ha-1) over T7 (3026 kg newlineha-1), T8 (3012 kg ha-1) and T9 (2905 kg ha-1) and T5 (2819 kg ha-1) and respective net returns newlineof and#8377;. 109.2, 103.1, 94.9, 94.0 and 89.1 thousand ha-1 with benefit cost ratio of 1.81, 1.73, 1.64, newline1.62, and 1.55. Sulphur (T7) along with the recommended dose (RDF) increased oil content newlinepercent and oil yield in gobhi sarson. T6 recorded more N, P, K, S, Zn and B uptake in newlinecropping system followed by T10, T7, T8 and T9. The system productivity in SPNF practice newline(2395 kg ha-1) was 15.0% less as compared RDF whereas net returns were less by 8.2%. newlineThus, for more productivity and profitability in gobhi sarson maize farmer should apply newlinehigher dose to both the crops. Application of 2.5 t FYM or 35 kg sulphur or 25 kg ZnSO4 ha-1 newlineto gobhi sarson should be done to realize more system productivity and profitability as newlinecompared to RDF to both the crops. newline | |
