The present study aimed to investigate the effect of yogic intervention and aerobic exercises on body composition, body image and physiological parameters among obese women. The subjects sample consists of forty-five (N=45) hostel obese women from Panjab University Chandigarh, ranging between 23-28 years of age were selected randomly. The subjects were divided into three groups namely: Experimental Group I (n-15), Experimental Group II (n-15) and Control Group (n-15). Experimental Group-I (n=15) was given yogic intervention, Experimental Group-II (n=15) was given Aerobic exercises training and Group-III (n=15) was chosen as control group. Initial (pre-test) and final (post-test) scores in the criterion was collected through the administration of appropriate test items. The obtained data were computed using SPSS software. The level of significance was set at 0.05. To study the different training method is effect on selected dependent variables, the paired t -test was applied to compare the pre-test and post-test scores of various groups. The Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) was used to see the significance of differences among two experimental groups and one control group. Further, the least significance difference (LSD) Post hoc test was applied to see the degree and direction of differences where the F-value was found significant. The t-test results of the study have shown significant differences between the subject groups on all the variables. Significant changes were observed only after the twelve weeks of training. newline
