Abstract: Introduction: Worldwide, Tuberculosis (TB) stands as a primary cause to newlinemortality, being a communicable disease that substantially impacts overall health. TB is newlinethe most common infectious illness that killed people before the coronavirus pandemic newline(COVID-19) started. It was even more deadly than HIV/AIDS. In Tamil Nadu, the newlineprevalence in 2021 was reported to be 824 cases per 100,000 people. On a global scale, newlinethe period between 2015 and 2021 witnessed a 5.9% reduction in the overall number of newlineTB fatalities, still, this marks only nearly one-sixth of the targeted 35% reduction goal. newlineTo meet global targets for lowering the burden of tuberculosis (TB) disease, multisectoral newlineinitiatives to address broader factors influencing TB epidemics and their socioeconomic newlineimpact as well as the provision of diagnostic, treatment, and prevention services within newlinethe framework of moving towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC) are required. The newlineadoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which strongly emphasize newlineensuring that everyone has access to quotsafe, effective, quality, and affordable essential newlinemedicines and vaccines,quot provides the foundation for the pledge to attain universal health newlinecoverage (UHC) by 2030. To achieve the SDGs and the end TB targets, it is critical to newlinefoster a common understanding among pertinent stakeholders on the intricate connections newlinebetween each goal and the necessity of collaborative efforts to eradicate tuberculosis and newlineits underlying causes newline
