Abstract: This thesis work primarily focuses on the study of electronic structure and vibrational properties of Lanthanum nickelate (LNO) and Tungsten oxide (WO3) based heterostructures. Where LNO has attracted attention as a potential candidate for electrode applications in oxide-based electronics and is a suitable metallic perovskite oxide which is structurally compatible with other active functional oxide. At the same time, WO3 have emerged as one of the key materials in multifunctional devices owing to its fascinating properties i.e., gas sensing, resistive switching, catalytic and electrochromic properties. newline
