Abstract: This doctoral thesis titled as Socio - Economic transformation through Apple Economy in the district Shimla: A comparative Study of three villages 1990 onwards constitutes an in-depth exploration of the profound socio-economic transformation instigated by the apple economy within the idyllic district of Shimla, nestled in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh.
