Abstract: The present study has been carried out to examine qualitative and quantitative digital dermatoglyphic characteristics of male and female convicted prisoners of Haryana. For this purpose, dermatoglyphic patterns, fingerprint ridge density and minutiae of male and female convicted prisoners were analyzed and compared with control group. The findings could assist forensic experts and law enforcement agencies in linking specific fingerprint patterns to certain types of crimes and aid in the overall investigation process. newline
