dc.description.abstractThe aim of the present study was to find out the Inter sports differences between the Participants of Nautical, Combative and ball game players on the variable Mental health, Achievement motivation and Personality differentials among various groups of college students who had participated at intercollege level competitions. For this purpose, 300 subjects aged 18-24 years, were taken erratically from diverse colleges of Panjab University, Chandigarh. Who must have participated at the inter-college level? To find out the inter-sports group differences between three sports groups i.e. Nautical, Combative and Ball games oneway ANOVA was applied and for finding out the intra-group gender differences, descriptive values such as mean, SD and t-value will work out. Findings of the study showed Mental health was better in combative sports players as compared to Nautical sports and Ball games players. Similarly, Personality differentials were also better in combative sports players as compared to Nautical sports and Ball games players. Achievement motivation was approximately the same in combative, nautical sports and ball game players. With regard to male players of different games Combat sports male players had better levels of Mental health and Personality as compared to Nautical and Ball game Players. Combative sports female players showed good levels of mental health and no differences were found within female players of the three selected sports groups with regard to Achievement motivation. Analysis of the relationship between mental health, personality differentials and achievement motivation among nautical players depicted that the mental health of nautical sports players has a significant negative relationship with personality differentials. The findings of the study can help the coaches and teachers to know the level of motivation of players at different levels. newline
