dc.description.abstractBanking is to be considered as pure financial service commerce, and answerable for the newlineeconomic development of an economy up to great extent. Satisfaction of customers is newlinethe vital for retaining existing customers and attracting prospective customers to widen newlinethe level of operational activities in any concern. In India, Private and Public banks are newlinerendering financial services. The Policies and Plans of Private and Public banks are newlinedifferent that leads variation in the customers fulfilment level. This research newlinetries to measure satisfaction level of customers of Public and Private Banks newlineand factors newlineresponsible for variation in customers satisfaction between Private and Public banks newlinein India. The objective of the research is to get the satisfaction level, variations in newlinesatisfaction level and reasons responsible for variations in satisfaction level or newlinedissatisfaction in public and private banks. This research is based on primary newlineinformation s obtained from customers of Public and Private sectors banks in India. newlineOverall, Customers of Private and Public sector banks are satisfied except some newlinetangibles and interactive factors of the banks employees due to the policies, strategies newlinefor tangibles and inefficiency of the employees. So, there is need to consider tangibles newlineand behavioural factors of the employees to enhance the level of satisfaction in public newlinebanks. newline
