Abstract: One of the unique features of Indian classical music is manand#333;dharma saand#7749;gand#299;ta, or newlineimprovised music. Manand#333;dharma is the spontaneous expression of creativity of a musician. It is improvisation bound to the confines of the musical grammar of the rand#257;ga and tand#257;la being performed. With the easy accessibility and availability of an immense variety of music, the present-day artiste is in a favorable position to gain inspiration and ideas from every avenue. The boundaries of manand#333;dharma saand#7749;gand#299;ta that were established in the past are expanding to accommodate the current scenario. newline
