Abstract: newline India got independence after a long struggle with British people. India has fought for freedom with the most powerful colonial state of the contemporary world in 1947. The first Prime ministerPanditJawaharLal Nehru has faced two main challenges after independence, one was to choose one bloc from the two zones of the world US and USSR. Second challenge was to be neutral in such world to grow India s sustainable development and uplift it s economy. Nehru goes for Neutrality and a new ideology was born named NAM. This simply means the nonaligned movement. The NAM became an important step toward making of India s Foreign Policy
