Abstract: The present work describes encapsulation of docetaxel and curcumin in solid lipid nanoparticles (DCLEN) with high active payload, improved stability and bioavailability. Further we developed a theranostic platform (therapeutic + diagnostic) by conjugating DLEN with QDs, which was surface-decorated with a peptide ligand to impart targetability to the system (QDSLNs-P). The formed nano platform exhibited complete regression of DMBA-induced breast cancer in rats and exhibited improved maximum tolerated dose. newline
