Optimal Economic Load Dispatch of Micro Grid using Heuristics Techniques

Abstract

In the recent world of globalisation and industralisation the world wide energy demand has increased significally, at the same time due to consumption of fossil fuels to meet the energy demand the emission of pollutants has also increased. So it is neccesity of the current time to meet the the demand of electrical energy by smart use of resources. Microgrids, as a decentralised system of energy has provided solutions in the recent time as its an efficient, sustainable and reliable type of energy system. Due to different types of non conventional newlineenergy resources in the microgrids the emission of pollutants has also decreased. Its very imporatant to optimise any microgrid to provide optimal solution to the energy demands of consumers with the help of Economic Load Dispatch. The work done is related to the economic load dispatch of different microgrids to minimise the cost, emmisions and provide optimal solutions. In this research a new optimization technique is proposed to get the optimised solution of newlineEconomic Load Dispatch problem i.e Manta Ray Foraging Optimization. Different problems newlinerelated to islanded microgrid , grid connected microgrid and CHP-Microgrid were solved . The proposed technique provides better solution in terms of economic efficiency, reduced emission as compared to other techniques. newline
