Abstract: India has been witnessing a significant increase in industrial fatal accidents at an alarming rate. These incidents, occurring across various sectors, including manufacturing, construction, and newlinemining, highlight the pressing need for improved safety standards and regulatory oversight. The frequency of such accidents underscores systemic failures in workplace safety practices, infrastructure maintenance, and emergency response mechanisms. Each incident not only results in tragic loss of life but also inflicts profound socio-economic repercussions on affected newlinecommunities and industries. Addressing this trend requires comprehensive measures, including stricter enforcement of safety regulations, investment in training and technology, and proactive newlineengagement with stakeholders to ensure a safer working environment for all. The absence of explicit corporate manslaughter legislation in India highlights a critical gap in the legal framework governing corporate accountability and governance, posing significant risks to newlinestakeholders and societal welfare. This research seeks to address this pressing issue by conducting a comprehensive inquiry into the need for evolving corporate manslaughter newlinelegislation in India as a means to advance corporate governance and protect stakeholder newlineinterests. The study adopts an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on insights from legal studies, corporate governance theory, comparative law, and empirical research methodologies. It begins by elucidating the concept of corporate manslaughter and its implications for corporate governance, highlighting the interconnectedness between effective governance structures and the prevention of corporate misconduct resulting in loss of life. Through a critical analysis of existing literature and case studies, the research aims to deepen understanding of the underlying factors contributing to corporate negligence and the inadequacies of current legal frameworks in holding corporations accountable for such actions.
