Abstract: Energy is the significant constituent of our contemporary economy and newlineeventually our life. Energy delivers electricity and heat to meet our daily needs. Nowadays, newlineclimate change is one of the major impacts humanities facing today which is a consequence newlineof misusing the conventional energy source. Hence, our world needs renewable energy newlinewhich not only provides clean environment but should be affordable and abundant such as newlinehydro power, solar power, tidal power, wind energy, and biomass. Biomass is an organic newlinesubstance that can be considered as a source of energy which is extracted from wood, plants, newlineand animal waste. Biomass has been used as an energy source for a longer period than any newlineother source. As more biomass source can be produced in a short period of time, it newlineconsidered as a potential renewable energy which will not pollute the environment by newlinecapturing the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The primary biomass sources include newlineindustry and animal residues, sewage and municipal solid waste, forestry and agricultural newlinecrops and residues. Bioenergy is a kind of potential renewable energy that assist with newlinemitigation of climate change. Biomass materials of varioustypes are used as raw materials in newlinepreparing the powders of carbon. In fact, the selection of biomass sources for the production newlineof carbon is dependent upon their accessibility, affordability, and carbonization capacity to newlineproduce the porous carbon for suitable applications. Presently, a plentiful supply of newlineagricultural waste, refuse, or discards provides an additional, affordable, and renewable newlinecarbon sources for various application. These products might be a little worth, which may newlinegenerally provide a disposal issue. Therefore, it is important to use these inexpensive newlinebiomaterials for the conversion of activated carbon that will increase their economic worth newlinethat contributes to disposal cost and ultimately offer an inexpensive replacement of existing newlinehigh cost commercially available activated charcoal powders newline
