Abstract: newline The provision of maintenance is not defined properly in the marriage law of any newlinereligions. While the claiming of maintenance is totally based on certain assumption newlinethat the dependent doesn t have the sufficient means to live an independent life. The newlineconcern of all these provision of maintenance in all religion is to compel a man to newlineperform the moral obligations, which he owes to the society in respect of his wife, newlinechildren and parents. newlineThese provision seek to ensure that the neglected wife and children are not left newlinebeggared. Although by the judicial provision of maintenance, the claimant can live newlinehis/her life peacefully. But these kind of provisions can be productive only when newlinewomen should empowered and educate herself.
