Abstract: Network performance is measured in terms of the response time its all about how fast newlinea message can be delivered by the network or how quickly a document can be retrieved newlinesecurely. The factors which affect the performance of the network are various; it newlinecould be the number of devices on the network, the bandwidth, the latency, the newlinetransmission time, the transmission errors, security algorithms used etc. A network is newlinecalled high performing network when it addresses some of these performance metrics newlineto achieve good performance. The importance of high performing network has been newlineincreased manifolded after the pandemic compared to as before in all sectors including newlineeducation, services, banking etc. Be it any sector security is considered to be as highest newlineimportance of all the performance parameters as stated earlier. When security is newlineof main concern; latency and throughput of the network is also equally important. newlineNetwork latency is a measure of how long it takes to deliver a message from one newlinedevice to another across a network. If latency can be decreased without harming newlinethe throughput then the network becomes faster. Hence proposed research aims newlinein devising methods for mitigating security attacks and improving latency without newlinecompromising the throughput of a network. The research aims in mitigating security newlineattacks using Elasticsearch Machine Learning Libraries and take relevant actions. newlineAlso improving the latency and throughput of a network by optimizing the switch newlinebuffer using Reinforcement Learning algorithm. newlineSoftware Defined networks (SDN) is a new networking paradigm that decouples newlinethe forwarding plane from the control plane, traditionally coupled with one another. newlineWhile adopting a logically centralized architecture SDN aims to increase network newlineagility and programmability. SDN has recently received a great deal of attention newlinefrom academia and industry, and has quickly become the new buzzword.
