dc.description.abstract | The success of any organization, in particular educational institutions depends on various newlinefactors such as the quality of teachers, infrastructure, the goals, the Management etc. The newlineschools are the nurseries where the future of mankind is shaped as rightly asserted by Indian newlineEducation Commission, 1966 in its widely quoted statement: The destiny of the country is newlinebeing shaped in its classrooms . The success of a school depends, in large measure, on the newlinequality of its teaching staff. When the teachers are effective, students learn (Ewan, 2002). A newlineteacher s role is to inspire, educate, empower and enable children to excel in their studies and newlinebecome better human beings and contribute to the world at large. A teacher plays a very crucial newlinerole in the development of the nation; therefore, it is essential that they remain optimistic and newlineeffective to bring out the best in students. A satisfied teacher will be loyal to the organization newlineand create high quality learning environment in the class room. The research has been designed newlineon survey model. Data was gathered from 763 teachers who filled a questionnaire and analysis newlinewas done to find out factors of job satisfaction of the school teachers of Central Gujarat. It was newlineconcluded that Support from the Management of the Educational Institutions, Class room newlinemanagement, working conditions at the Institutions, Pay Equity, Extra efforts were the factors newlinethat affected the job satisfaction of teachers. It has also been concluded that male teachers and newlineunmarried teachers had significant difference of opinion with respect to pay equity and extra newlineefforts, graduate school teachers had a significant difference of opinion regarding support from newlinemanagement of educational institutions and pay equity and trained graduates (Graduates with newlineB.Ed..) teachers for class room management. | |
