This thesis investigates the utilization of digital media by higher education institutions for gainful outcomes, focusing on various aspects of digital media and domains of higher educational institutions. Representatives / authorities from various domains of higher educational institutions are studied through a mixed-methods approach incorporating qualitative and quantitative aspects. The study explores the use, purposes, characteristics, performance, effectiveness of digital media. newline newlineFindings reveal the multifaceted role of digital media in higher education, highlighting its potential in day today administration / compliances, Examinations, Evaluations, Assessments, distance learning, operational efficiency, data management and data analysis, increased enrollments, improved brand awareness, positive public image, higher internships and placements, alumni engagement, entrepreneurial support, excellence in research, partnerships and collaborations, improved teaching learning and professional development. newline newlineThe study offers contributes to the body of knowledge as well as practice by suggesting scope for future research. By building upon the findings of the present study and leveraging digital media strategically, higher education institutions can capitalize on emerging opportunities and navigate challenges to achieve sustainable gainful outcomes in an increasingly digital landscape.
