Abstract: The objective of this thesis is to synthesize a variety of Schiff bases from different compounds such as 2,3- diaminomaleonitrile, carbohydrazide, triazole, 4- methyl thioaniline and 1,5-diamino naphthalene. The Schiff bases have versatile applications in various fields particularly in the medicinal field. So, the primary goal of this thesis is to synthesize the Schiff bases that have potential medicinal properties and to investigate their antibacterial, antidiabetic, antitumor and antifungal activities through molecular docking, which is a rapid method to evaluate the efficiency of the compounds in the medicinal field. Additionally, Schiff bases can be used as sensors since they detect metal ions as it has a coordination tendency. newline
