Abstract: This study describes the diverse applications of advanced Petri nets. 1962 witnessed the introduction of Petri nets by Carl Adam Petri. Later, it underwent several extensions, including colored Petri nets, timed Petri nets, colored Petri nets with timing, stochastic Petri nets, fuzzy Petri nets, etc. Petri nets are widely utilized in a variety of fields. Petri nets specifically colored Petri nets, have been applied to generating arrays. Petri nets, including colored Petri nets, are also used to stick tiles and make kolam. Traffic management and ATM modelling use timed- colored Petri nets. Robotic tasks were also modelled, analyzed, and executed using Petri nets. Recently, they have played an essential role in the generation of passwords. newlineTwo-dimensional array languages like rectangular arrays are generated using Petri nets, Colored Petri nets and timed Petri nets. To generate certain arrays, inhibitor arcs are introduced. Inhibitor arcs in array generation increase the generative capacity of the structure. The labeling of Petri net transitions can generate a string language. Petri nets can similarly cause two-dimensional array languages. There are only black dots on the tokens in the basic Petri net. But in Petri nets that are defined for array generation, the tokens are arrays over the letters in the given alphabet. Transition-associated firing rules are described. When the transition is activated, the arrays physically relocate by expanding in size to a new location. The final defined set of sites is a subset of the complete set of locations. newlinevi newlineGenerating 2D picture language is a study in formal language theory. In literature, plenty of computer models are used to create picture languages. Tile pasting is one among them. The tile pasting method is used to generate 2D picture languages. A triangular block joining system has been introduced by applying Petri nets in the field of tessellation. Blocks are joined using joining rules; blocks are taken as tokens in the places.
