Abstract: | This study aims to evaluate the static behaviour of externally bonded newlineHybrid Fibre Reinforced Polymer laminates in High Strength Concrete beams newlinewith various layer combinations. Two different glass and carbon Fibre newlinereinforced polymers were used in this study. For current study project, a total of newline17 rectangular beams were produced. The dimensions of each beam are newline150x250x3000mm. Cast high strength concrete beams with 2800mm span newlineunderwent four-point bending tests. 0.60% is the steel ratio over whole length of newlinebeam specimen. The CC specimen consists of a single beam devoid of any newlinelaminates. With the use of an adhesive, each type of FRP is connected. newlineFor this research project, following study parameters were taken into newlineconsideration: First crack load, deflection at first crack load, yield load, newlinedeflection at yield load, crack width, ultimate load, deflection at ultimate load, newlinedeflection ductility, deflection ductility ratio, energy ductility, number of cracks, newlineaverage spacing of crack, and energy ductility ratio for HyFRP laminated High newlineStrength Concrete beams, as well as CC beams. newlineThe test findings demonstrate improved flexural stiffness, higher newlinestrength, adequate ductility and composite action until failure in High Strength newlineConcrete beams strengthened with externally attached Hybrid FRP laminates. newlineUsing non-linear finite element analysis programme called ANSYS, it newlinehas been investigated how High Strength Concrete beams with externally newlineattached hybrid FRP laminates respond to static loads. A considerable level of newlineagreement has been reached between numerical solution and results of newlineexperiments. newline |
