Abstract: In the present thesis investigation is made on squeeze film lubrication, porousness, rough porousness and secant form of circular plates on roughness and porousness. With theoretical solutions graphically represented for various non-dimensional parameters like, pressure, load carrying capabilityand squeeze time and by comparing with the previous analysis we found a positive and good agreement. Problem studied in this work finds applications in many fields of science and engineering problems. newlineIn Chapter 1, Tribology, lubrication, squeeze film lubrication, bearing, fluid classification, Rabinowitsch fluid, Darcy law in porous medium, surface roughness, and their relevant literature surveys are briefly introduced. newlineIn Chapter 2, Elevant basic equations, boundary conditions, general Reynold s equation and various non-dimensional constraints significant for problem under investigation and nomenclature are listed. newlineTheoretically we investigated five problems and a brief summary of the problem is given below. newlineIn Chapter 3, the investigation impact of squeeze film is lubricated by Rabinowitsch fluid into porous medium on circular plates. By utilizing Morgan Cameron approximation Reynolds kind equation for non-Newtonian Rabinowitsch fluid is attained by introducing some non-dimensional quantities the dimensionless Reynolds modified equation had been deliberated. Graphical representation of above expression is plotted pertaining with non-dimensional constraints like non-linear parameter, porosity, porous film thickness, film thickness. It s found as all above 3 mentioned parameters reduced with increase porosity parameter and increases with the dilatants nature of lubricants. newlineIn Chapter 4, Rough surface effect upon lubrication of squeeze film of porous form of round plates is presented. In general Stochastic equation of Reynolds for the film pressure of Rabinowitsch fluid is derived. Pressure distribution, load carrying capacity and squeezing film time for modified equations are derived and also these outcomes are represented graphically. p
