dc.description.abstractBiodiesel is an excellent alternate fuel source that mitigates environmental pollution to a great extent and extends the value of fossil fuels. It reduces the dependence on fossil fuels and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Despite many advantages of biodiesel, notable drawbacks such as the increase in nitrogen oxide emission, and frequent replacement of engine parts like fuel lines and fuel filters due to clogging have become inevitable. There is a scope to enhance the fuel properties and to overcome these drawbacks by the addition of nanoparticles as fuel additives to biodiesel. In this present work, the effect of TiO2 nano additive in the Manilkara Zapota biodiesel blend in a stationary single-cylinder, 4-stroke naturally aspired CRDI diesel engine was investigated to assess the engine performance, combustion and emission characteristics. newline
