As we all know Agriculture is one of the newlinepredominant pillars of the Indian economy. India is an agricultural based economy. newlineNearly 72 percent of the total population directly depends on agriculture for their newlinelivelihood. This sector is the source of food items which feeds the growing newlinepopulation. In many countries agriculture progress is responsible for industrial newlinedevelopment. Agriculture progress depends largely on support from Indian Financial newlineSystem. Commercial Banks are those profit seeking organizations which accept newlinedeposits from public and advance money to household individuals, entrepreneurs, newlinebusinessmen etc. with the main objective of earning profit in the form of interest, newlinecommission etc. The operations of all these banks are controlled by the Reserve Bank newlineof India, which is the central bank and supreme financial authority in India. Examples newlineof commercial banks ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Axis Bank, and HDFC Bank. newlineThe focus of this research is on the role of the banking sector in agriculture reform. newlineThe main objectives of this study is to assess the government spending on agricultural newlineproductivity, t icultural newlineproductivity and to suggest ways the commercial banks can effectively contribute in newlinedevelop agricultural production in Uttar Pradesh. In this study, the perspectives of newlinefarmers and agriculture and impact of credit production have been studied .Period has newlinebeen taken to conduct this study is 2000-2019. The study was conducted in the State newlineof Uttar Pradesh; Ghaziabad Region was selected purposively because the total credit newlineflow for priority as well as agriculture sector by the institutional agencies was highest newlinein Ghaziabad Region of annual credit plan. The questionnaire was used to collect newlineinformation on the middle level farmers and landholders. The questionnaire was newlinedivided into two parts for the different variables under study.
