dc.description.abstract | The innovation in the construction industry has been driven by reduction newlinein energy consumption, construction cost and environmental impact of buildings. newlineConventional building materials often fail to meet the demands of the modern newlineenvironmentally conscious society in the area of sustainable architecture. newlineIn recent years, building materials made from agricultural waste have newlinebecome popular due to their lower cost and environmental issues. This study newlineanalyses the strength, durability, acoustic and thermal properties of sandwich panels, newlinefabricated with Calcium Silicate board (CSB) as face sheet with Polyurethane (PU) newlineas core material for PU panel. Further PU is replaced with Coconut Husk (CH) as newlinePUC panel and PU by Rice Husk (RH) as PUR panel was also fabricated. The PUC newlineand PUR panel is fabricated by replacing PU with CH and RH at 10, 20, 30, 40 and newline50% to perform various experimental study. The basic properties of materials such newlineas physical and chemical properties were analyzed. The optimum replacement newlinepercentage of sandwich panels were determined from the mechanical, durability, newlinemicrostructural and acoustic test. Further, the thermal property was performed on the newlineoptimized panels by constructing a prototype model and measuring temperature newlinedifference using thermographic camera.
