Abstract: | The antenna performance and frequency selection for a particular application always remains a challenge in transferring high data rate. Wireless technologies always remain a gateway for long range data communication. UWB antenna plays a crucial role in making the UWB system compact and more reliable with high data rate solution. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), primary authority for communication laws, regulations and technological innovation, regulated the bandwidth for Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) wireless communication to be from 3.1GHz to 10.6 GHz in the electromagnetic spectrum. Since then, UWB technology in this band has been advancing by leap and bounds. The design of the antenna should operate with constant performance in terms of impedance and should possess uniform and stable radiation patterns over the entire frequency thus considering the design of antenna to meet challenges for on on-body communication. Hence, a low power, short range, high data rate technology, that facilitates the on-body applications, compatible for recent trends in antenna design is considered for the research. newline |
