Abstract: Alloy 718 is a widely utilized nickel-iron-based superalloy in the newlineaerospace, marine, and petrochemical industries. However, the conventional newlinefusion-based additive manufacturing of alloy 718 components presents newlineseveral drawbacks, including the formation of Laves phase, elemental newlinesegregation, solidification cracking, and porosity. These factors adversely newlineaffect the mechanical properties and overall performance of the alloy 718 newlinecomponents. This study proposes an alternative approach to fabricating alloy newline718 components using the friction deposition additive manufacturing newlinetechnique. The focus of this thesis is on the development of optimized process newlineparameters for friction deposition of alloy 718. Based on these parameters, newlinefriction deposition additive manufacturing of alloy 718 is carried out. The newlineanalysis encompasses the examination of microstructures, mechanical newlineproperties, and the effects of post-heat treatment. Additionally, the study newlinedrives into the wear and hot corrosion performance of friction-deposited alloy newline718. newline
