dc.description.abstractThis thesis examined the Grit and Career Success of School Teachers. The objectives of this research were to provide school teachers with an explanation of and exploration of the role of grit in quotcareer successquot from a quotpositive psychologyquot theoretical perspective. Using a sequential explanatory mixed methods design, the quantitative and qualitative phases of the research was administered on the sample of total 300 school teachers. Researcher studied the school teachers who have high degrees of grit and career success to better understand the complex and possibly individualized concept of grit. The relationship between grit and career success for secondary school teachers was explored and it was found that there is no significant relationship between Grit and CSS. is accepted. The quantitative results in this study did not show that grit predicts CS. Qualitative research indicates that successful, hard-working participants did value grit as a factor in their professional success. it was revealed that Grit leads to status and salary by committing more to the profession. coefficient of correlation of Grit with CSS. It showed that Grit bears positive but insignificant relationships with the predictor variables of the study viz; CSS for the total sample of school teachers. It can be concluded that the level of teacher effectiveness does not affect the level of CSS schoolteachers and vice versa. newline
