Abstract: This Thesis reports the experimental measurement of evaporation residue (ER) cross-sections for the 30Si+142Ce and 48Ti+124Sn systems. These measurements were done in the excitation energy range of 34 62 MeV using the HYRA facility of Inter-University Accelerator Center (IUAC), New Delhi. These experiments were performed to study the sub-barrier fusion enhancement phenomena, role of different types of couplings, effect of PQNT channels on sub-barrier fusion cross-sections and the effect of entrance channel parameters on fusion cross-sections. We observe that PQNT channels causes enhancement in sub-barrier fusion cross-sections and reproduces the experimental data for 30Si+142Ce system. newline
