Endometriosis is an enigmatic disease which is defined by implantation of functioning endometrial tissue outside the uterine cavity. Nearly 10-15% women during their reproductive period of life endure endometriosis. Whereas about 25-50% of women diagnosed with infertility are found to be suffering from Endometriosis. newlineA comprehensive investigation of several molecules involved in inflammation, angiogenesis, and ECM degradation in women with endometriosis to study their interplay with OS. Deregulation of NF-and#954;B activation by OS affects the expression of various cytokines in endometriosis. Elevated cytokine levels further up-regulate IL-10, which subsequently activates the MMPs, leading to excessive ECM degradation and angiogenesis. Moreover, IL-10 emerged as the most important molecule involved in the pathogenesis of endometriosis. Measurement of these molecules may help in better management of the patients with endometriosis. newlineA simple, label-free electrochemical immunosensor was constructed by using glassy carbon electrode (GCE) coated with gold nanoparticles and cysteamine layer. The interaction between monoclonal IL-10 antibody and IL-10 antigen was measured by square wave voltammetry (SWV) technique. The immunosensor displayed a dynamic range 1 atto gram (ag) to 5 pico gram (pg) mLand#8722;1and the lower detection limit 0.33 ag mLand#8722;1of IL-10 was obtained. newlineAn Ayurvedic physician can diagnose and treat a disease clinically depending on Nidana (cause), Doshas, Dushyas (vitiation) and Udbhavasthana (origin), even though the physician is unable to put an exact name for it. The clinical manifestations (30 50%) thereof consist of chronic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, dysuria, dyspareunia, dyschezia, and infertility, that were corelated with Ayurvedic diseases like Asrigdara, Pradara, Yonivyapat etc. while 20 25% of patients remain asymptomatic. newlineIn developing countries around 80% of the population relies entirely on the medicinal plants for the treatment of various illness.
