Abstract: Newspapers are the most important medium of information dispersal. They perform a main newlinerole in present times as agenda-setters. It is a knowledge and instructional tool that newlinecontributes to the advancement of economic growth in the enhancement of human assets newlineand resources. But, with the advancement in digital technology and expansion of electronic newlinemedia, reading habits of consumers have changed. Newspapers are facing stiff competition. newlineSo, to face the competition and match the benefits of digital media, newspapers have to newlinepresent news in more methodical and structured way. Thus, attention is paid to the layout newlineand design of newspapers. newlineNewspaper design has evolved throughout time, with an emphasis on the diverse dynamics newlinebetween a range of components such as picture size, headline size, white space, and the newlinenumber of images. As designers strive to discover the best way to convey content, strategies newlinefor putting up newspaper pages have developed. newlineThis study focuses on various design elements used in layout and design of newspapers in newlineIndia. It will clearly establish the designing trends followed by the various leading newlinenewspapers to stand apart from the rest. This study will also focus on newspaper readers, newlineand will measure their liking and disliking of various segments of newspaper with respect newlineto layout and design. newline
