dc.description.abstractIn today s manufacturing scenario, there is intense pressure on organizations to reduce the cost of products and to provide new and quality products in the market. Industries are beginning to realize that powerful and efficient business practices such as TPM, TQM, Six Sigma, JIT, etc. are the only way of achieving high productivity, excellent quality, low cost, and short lead times for surviving in the global competitive environment. To resolve these issues, the research work is carried out by analyzing the TPM and TQM implementation trend in the Indian industries followed by the case analysis using the SAP-LAP framework. Further, the crucial elements of the SAP-LAP framework i.e., actors and actions were ranked w.r.t to processes and performance parameters using the eIRP approach. The prominent financial and non-financial performance parameters of an organization were identified using the SAP-LAP framework and their impact is shown using case studies. At last, a business excellence model based on the TQM principles is formulated using the ISM approach and the impact of the model principles like New Product development (NPD), Dealer and Customer Management is presented using case studies. newline
