Abstract: | Nonlinear optics (NLO), one of the significant areas of research has gained newlineconsiderable interest from the scientific community due to its wide range of newlineapplications like novel laser fabrication, light-material interaction, information newlinetechnology and medical diagnostics, to name a few. It is a pioneering extension of newlinelinear optics promoted by laser technology. This relatively new field of physics not only newlinedeals with the control and manipulation of light by light itself but also numerous newlineinnovative optical effects and phenomena that induced as a result of the interaction of newlineintense light with matter. Optical nonlinearity exhibited by most of the NLO materials newlineis found to be inapt for practical all-optical devices mainly due to fact that, most of newlinethem possess pretty weak optical nonlinearity and thus required high operational power. newlineThis issue can be overcome by finding new materials that possess strong optical newlinenonlinearity. A single material may not be able to meet many of these properties at low newlineand high intensities without getting damaged. Hence it is preferable to synthesize new newlinehybrid material, with interesting electronic and optical properties in addition to the newlinedevice-friendly properties like stability, wide transparency range, adaptability, high newlinedamage threshold, solubility, etc. Hence there is a lot of research scope in the field, newlinewhen considering synthesis and characterization of new composite materials that could newlinebe able to display large and fast nonlinear optical response and also satisfy the different newlinetechnological necessities. newlineThe present work focuses on the NLO performance analysis of certain Au/Ag based newlinemetal-metal/organic core shell nanostructures and nanohybrids by single beam Z-scan newlinetechnique using an Nd:YAG laser operating at 532 nm wavelength, 7 ns pulse width newlineand 10 Hz repetition rate. newline |
