Abstract: The industrial growth all over the world is posing a severe threat to the sustainability of the natural resources, the environment and the earth. Human activities have to be streamlined to keep the developments in an economically profitable, environmentally friendly and socially committed way. Economic stability is vital for any organization to survive. Still, it is not sufficient to sustain the organization in the long run if it causes irreversible damages to the ecosystem by emitting greenhouse gases, toxic wastes and depleting the non-renewable resources or if it fails to ensure safety, security, dignity, healthcare, minimum wage, justice and better working conditions for its employees, the community and the society in general. The present research focuses on the modelling and analysis of various aspects in implementing sustainable practices in the selected organizations in the manufacturing sector and the service sector in the chosen Indian state. The problems investigated in the present research can be grouped under three phases are as follows: and#57349; Phase I: Identification, modelling and analysis of the barriers as well as the enablers in implementing sustainable practices in the rubber-based products manufacturing organizations in the chosen Indian state. and#57349; Phase II: Identification, modelling and analysis of the barriers as well as the enablers in implementing sustainable practices in the public healthcare institutions in the chosen Indian state. and#57349; Phase III: Identification, modelling and analysis of the triple-bottom-line based dimensions and their impact on the competitive performance and economic performance of the public healthcare institutions in the chosen Indian state.
