dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to understand the nature of household health care costs in India compared to Uttarakhand. Along with this, researchers are looking to examine disparities in healthcare spending among households in India compared to Uttarakhand. Researchers will seek to find out the main factors affecting household spending on health care in Uttarakhand and analyze key issues related to household spending. A sample of 400 people was selected by conducting the survey using a convenient sampling method to fully achieve the objectives of the survey. This study used descriptive research methods and collected primary and secondary data. To collect secondary data, researchers examine extensive literature on household health care costs and the socioeconomic variables that influence household health care costs. To collect primary data, researchers used the Ayer questionnaire, which consists of 25 different questions about household health care costs and the various variables that affect them. The researchers chose the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand as the study area. The Kumaon region of Uttarakhand is a multicultural region with a diverse population. Respondents were selected using a convenient sampling method that included as many relevant samples as possible. newlineAccording to the survey results, it can be said that the largest number of respondents from the 36-year-old age group participated in the survey. Nainital had the largest number of survey respondents, followed by Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Pithoragarh. Respondents who participated in graduate or postgraduate surveys. This means that the majority of the respondents who participated in the survey were well educated. We found that most of the respondents who participated in the survey came from the private sector. That means they worked for one of the private organizations. The average income of the survey respondents ranged from Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 per month.
