Abstract: The importance of medicinal plants has been mentioned since ancient time. These plants generated commercial demand for pharmacopoeial drugs and their products in India. Efforts have been made in recent years to introduce many of these drug plants to common people. The present thesis entitled Phytochemical, Pharmacological and Toxicological Evaluation of Cupressus Vietnamensis . The leaves of Cupressus vietnamensis was collected in the months of July-December 2020 from the Himalaya region and identified and authenticated. The leaves of Cupressus vietnamensis was dried in the shade or at ambient temperature (24 to 27 0C). Cupressus vietnamensis (Farjon and Hiep) Q.P. Xiang and J. Li. (Vietnamese golden cypress), is native to the Vietnam, also found in Himalaya regions. The present research work carries results of Phytochemical, Pharmacological and Toxicological Evaluation of Cupressus Vietnamensis . It indicates the uses of leaves of Cupressus vietnamensis for the treatment of several disease and disorders viz., pain and inflammation. In the present research work morphological study, quantitative microscopy, physicochemical parameters, extraction of plant material, phytochemical screening of extracts, toxicological studies, and pharmcaological studies (analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity) were carried out and reported. newline
