Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to study a range of concerns, challenges, and responses relating to contract laborers and human resource management (HRM). The contract Labour system is a significant growing area of industrial engagement for different categories. Contract laborers contribute to the progress of the Industrial economy as well as the Indian economy. Contract labour faced various difficulties relating to working conditions of contract labor, nature of work, working hours, minimum wages or differences in salary, job insecurity, welfare activity, and social security schemes. The operation of contract laborers is now a major problem in the time of globalization and liberalization. The contract system is created on a triangular relationship between the principal employer, the contractors, and the contract laborers. The aim of this paper is to emphasize the overview of issues and challenges of the contract laborer s system in India. This study is based on secondary data use like articles, journals, books, different websites, etc., This paper explains that the general expectation of the study finds that contract labor is more concerned with job insecurity, wages, social security benefits etc.
