Abstract: | Physical fitness is an all round objective with different meanings to different people. newlineA more precise aspect of physical fitness is motor fitness. It may be defined as a readiness or newlinepreparedness for performance with special regards for big muscle activity without undue newlinefatigue. A sports skill is a unit and when compounded with other units into a group, along newlinewith certain rules, as sports or athletic games results. These units were based on the newlinefundamental skills such as running, jumping, or throwing. Proficiency in these skills depends newlineupon the basic factors such as agility, Balance, speed, power or coordination. newlineMany foreign physical fitness test batteries are being used at present in our country newlineand most of the cases the foreign norm was also being used, like AAHPER youth fitness test newline(1958,1976), Barrow Motor ability test (1954), Indiana motor fitness test (High School and newlineColleges, 1943), North Carolina Motor Fitness Battery (1977), etc. But the researcher found newlinethat there is no such fitness test constructed for our country. Considering this fact the newlineresearcher intended to construct a fitness test norms (skill related) for school going children newlineof West Bengal. newlineFor this present study the researcher went through Library, Internet, and Physical newlineEducationist to search related literature. The researcher had found many related works from newlineBooks, Journals, Published Thesis, Unpublished thesis, Websites, abstracts, periodicals, etc. newlineBut, the Investigator did not found any work which was directly related to the present study. newline |
