Internationalization of higher education (IHE) is a term gaining importance due to globalisation and the transformation of the world into a global knowledge economy. The impact of globalisation requires students to be local citizens but with a worldwide perspective. IHE includes staff and student mobility, program mobility and provider mobility. Looking at Indian scenario data shows that out of a total enrollment of 34.6 million (AISHE, 2015) in Indian higher education only 255,030 (UNESCO,2016) have the resources to get the benefits of international education and the majority is left behind. However, the challenge is how to internationalize students and faculty who are not mobile; this limitation brought forth the concept internationalization at Home. newlineThis study showcases how information and communication technologies (ICT) is used to promote internationalization at Home at local K-12 schools or universities. As many Countries are realising the importance of inculcating the international perspectives and exchanges into school education. newlineWe will use a peer learning model and project-based approach using ICT to open up opportunities for international and local students to interact with each other learn to primarily learn a new technical skill, new culture, skills, language and develop symbiotic relations for self and global development. newlineThe primary outcome of this research is to introduce to new pathway to promote internationalization at Home using ICT as a platform in K-12 schools or universities by attracting international students to the campus with an intention to motivate them to interact with local students. This approach will help in creating a diverse cultural environment in which international students will understand different teaching learning cultures and equip them with skills and work experience and impart scientific and intercultural communication skills in local K-12 school or university students that plays important role in building global communities and encouraging peace through dialogue
