A Study On Massive Open Online Courses Moocs In Selected Universities Of West Bengal

Abstract

The present study illustrates the MOOCs status in selected three public universities and three private universities in respect to uses, reasons for being unused, enrolment, challenges and sought suggestions to improve from the user community. Besides that, this study also describes the present status of MOOCs in India and tries to explore the future of MOOCs in India in respect to National Education Policy, 2020 recommendations. newlineThe researcher has used the structured questionnaire as the data collection tool for gathering the primary data for the present doctoral thesis. Before construction of the questionnaires, a number of studies on MOOCs uses, system and services have been consulted and reviewed in order to congregate unique and productive questionnaire design. It is important to mention that before finalizing the questionnaire, researcher has made a Pilot Study to see the validity and relevance of the topic to work on. It is important to mention that before finalizing the questionnaire, researcher has discussed with the librarians of the selected Universities. Notably, these discussions have been very useful in bringing necessary correction and amendment in the questionnaire. For this research, the investigator prepared a set of structured questionnaires that would suit both the students and faculty members. newline newline
