Abstract: Water is a principal component for survival animal. Ever increasing world population newlineand their higher levels of activities, resulted overutilization of fresh water and moreover newlineclimatic change may reduce water supply. Near about 844 million people living without newlineaccess of fresh water and 1 by 9 lakh people access to it in the world. In India per capita newlinedemand of fresh water is escalating. Only rainwater harvesting has the ability to meet the demand of water and beat to this serious problem. newline
